Nero Marquinia marble is a black stone with more or less intense white veins and which contains infiltrations of coal. The main characteristic of this marble is its veined structure. The depth and mystery of the solid black color are interrupted by the brilliance of the white veins which may be strong but also delicate and which cross the entire slab. Nero Marquinia marble is quarried in the Spanish quarries in the city of Marquinia in Spain where this natural material is widely used. It is, however, appreciated all over the world, to the point of today being held to be an element of luxury furnishings, perfect for interior decoration.
